Microsoft More Open to Open-Source Says New Director

The new Director of Microsoft Gianugo Rabellino is out to convince everyone that Microsoft is friendly towards the open source concept.
He said that people don't know, but Microsoft is way more open to the idea of open source. Rabellino is the new director of Microsofts open source community and moved from Italy to Redmond last October when he was hired.
Open source software has recently got every famous owing to the success of the Firefox web browser owned by Mozilla and the Android phone operating system owned by Google. Microsoft on the other side keeps its software code proprietary and not open source. This does not allow other developers to make complementary products, which was the key to the success of products mentioned above.
He added that there are many initiatives in the company that are open source friendly and that he wouldn't have joined if he hadn't been convinced of the company's commitment to openness.
